Windows 7 Feature – Provides Better Customization of Notification Icons and Wallpapers

Windows 7 the latest version of Windows a Microsoft application needs to be providing better features that is what people around the world expect. After all, new should be better than the previous one. At least people expect that from Windows 7 after they are not comfortable with Windows Vista the previous version. Windows 7 has been a promising version with not many saying much negative about them. Customizing Notification Icons

Notification Icons are found to have their own mind, means the changes could be made through a management interface. In the previous versions of Windows the developer of program provided a management interface to enable or disable icons. All notification icons can be managed in Windows 7. For that you have to click Customize button of Taskbar tab. Now you have options to decide to show icon and notifications or allowing showing notifications only or hiding both notification and icon one by one.

To select displaying of system icons like Volume, Clock, Power, Auto Center or Network, click the link Turn System Icons on or off. If the changes does not show improvements as per the liking then just like Start menu customization you can reset notification area icons to their default setups just by clicking Restore Default Icon Behaviors link.

Creating Widescreen Wallpaper

Windows 7 Feature can help you configure multiple displays and for that you can select one or more wallpapers in a theme. But the question is whether you can have single wallpaper image that can be fitted in multiple displays? Here is the step by step procedure to do that

First – you must finalize the total size horizontally and vertically of the desktop, the width in pixels can be added to the displays and opt for largest setting of heights from the display option. To make the things clear, for example if your displays are two in number of 1440 x 900 then wallpaper needed will be 2880 x 900 (1440 +1440)

Second – Single photo or a montage can be used to create wallpaper. For displays with different vertical sizes in pixels, the help of article explaining creation of multiple-display wallpaper by Will Smith can be taken.

Third – If required pick your wallpaper to a size that was determined earlier.

Fourth – On opening Personalization menu you can select Change Desktop Background. Reach to your wallpaper file to select it. Fill is to be chosen as the position type.

On clicking Save Changes your Wallpaper is selected as a part of new theme.

When you come back to your desktop, you will see all your wallpaper in all the displays.

It can be concluded that Windows 7 has customization options for notification icons and wallpaper to assist you in executing your work more efficiently than was previously done.
