The Apple Tablet Is Dead

apple-tabletThe arrival of much awaited, Apple Tablet has been postponed by the manufacturers. It was just two days back when the morning news revealed of this. The company, Apple is pushed the release date even further, and have yet not disclosed the new one. Some experts say that this has been done as Apple is incorporating even more functionalities in it, hoping to sell it at around $2000. The more disheartening news is that a publishing company has even started making accessories and other product lines for this tablet, without even knowing whether the Apple Tablet is a reality or an illusion. Its time for us to accept that the future of tablet PCs have ended, for now- Apple Tablet, with “claimed” astonishing features is dead.

Baloney: the expensive Apple Tablet

The inside reports from Apple corporation say that the development of tablet has yet not ended and Apple is due to launch it in future. It has decided to add some new functionality in it, owing to which its release date will be delayed by over a period of six months. The scheduled to release in March, 2010, the Apple Tablet is being modified on the technical aspects.  Apple will be removing some of the existing components and will also develop a back up tablet that can work as its substitute in capturing the market. It is destined to have 9.7 inches OLED screen. This will escort the primarily sought, 10.6 inches LCD screen product.

OLED is a better technology as compared to LCD. It consumes less energy and displays better images. This added advantage will be available at an added price of something around $2000. The one with LCD screen will lie anywhere within $800 to $1000.

Vapor Sauce with Tablet

One of the magazine publishers, Conde Nast, is not quite convinced and happy about this delay as the magazine has started working on the tech counterpart called Wired. This employs the use of a new tool from Adobe. This is a tablet-version of the magazine and the team has decided to release the digital version of it latest by mid 2010. Thereafter, all the eighteen titles will be digitized to suite the Tablet PC. The users will have the freedom to choose from the older, print friendly edition of the magazine or the newer, better and “especially designed for Tablet” version of it. The magazine publishers are thinking of relaying their plan to the Apple Corporation, however, the Apple does not seem moved by the idea. They are neither conforming, nor conversing about this negotiation. Everything is in vapors as of now, and if the Apple Tablet is virtual in nature, the magazine is also working on its alternate plan. They are working with Hewlett-Packard, on the same plan, with their “to be launched” products Touchsmart and Dreamscreen.

The truth beneath.

We should now loose all hopes to see an Apple Tablet, as per the current scenario. Initially, it was decided that the Apple Tablet will hit the sale counters in late 2009. As we approached the date, the launch shifted to early 2010. Now, as the time is passing, various researchers, analysts, magazine people and technicians will try to make the readers and viewers convinced on the fact that mid 2010 is probably, the last date Apple has given us. They will try to persuade people that an Apple Tablet will be in their hands by mid 2010 and when the time would be up, reports of its further delay will be released. Till then, the rumors will keep soaring up the market. They will arrive at a situation when the people will start feeling reticulated and at that time, they will deceive all, once again. Even if they launch the Tablet, it can be sold at a tagged price of over $10,000. After negotiations and long contracts, it will be brought down to $199, just to please the customer.

The Apple Tablet is just like a mirage in desert. The closer we go to water, the farther it will appear to be. It’s better if we realize that we can never achieve it. It can seem to be the most beautiful, visionary and enlightening dream of all, but it is never going to turn into reality.
