Sunny Ooi , Market Development Manager of Intel  said that Intel Xeon 5500 series processor is the future in the world of processors. He adds,” Such chips will definitely showcase a sky shooting advancement in virtualization, performance and workload management as well, which will forge opportunities to settle the world’s most sophisticate challenges and further the limits of technology and science.”

The Intel Xeon 5500 series processor is the holder of more than thirty world records. It has raised the standard for two-socket performance, at the same time forking out more than double gains compared to the Intel Xeon 5400 series processors.

Intel has introduced new server boards to suit the new processors. These boards equipped with Intel 82599 10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, boasts advanced unified networking support and visualization technology. This will immensely improve the performance of network 1/O in visualized data centers.

Seventy system manufacturers all over the world have announced the introduction of above 230 systems using the Intel Xeon 500 series processors.
